Patrick,
MovieCaptionioner saved my life. I found several other products that claimed to do captioning but they all were too complicated and/or difficult to use. MovieCaptioner is easy to use on the fly with or without a script and syncing text was quick and easy. I highly recommend MovieCaptioner to others. We used MovieCaptioner to caption web-based training programs we previously produced. Visit http://www.businesswritingtraining.com to see the excellent results.
Thanks,

Hi Patrick:
I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond to you, but I just wanted to let you know that the new version you sent to me where I could could drop-frame did the trick and I was able to caption perfectly after that. Thanks again so much for your help and excellent customer service!
Also, I just thought you'd like to know that we use MovieCaptioner in my program, Ablevision. Its a television show made by people with disabilities. Our crew member who uses the program captions all of our YouTube videos and was just hired by an outside company to caption their educational DVDs. The ability to use this program and to finally have a paying job means all the world to him and me. So thank you again.

Patrick: I have one government client, The City of Bend, OR, for whom I produce a monthly video news program posted on YouTube and embedded on the City's website.
The city has had some issues in the past with ADA requirements and decided to make all programs CC enabled on both the web and on local cable. The cable company had issues with decoding line 21 or whatever digital files via .mov so now I supply them with a permanent embed that they air with captions always visible.
Good comments and thanks from both the Feds and local officials.
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Patrick,
I was so happy when I discovered MovieCaptioner! I work at Washington School for the Deaf in Vancouver, Washington, and I have been captioning videos since 1983, when we got our first computer and it took nearly 60 hours to caption a 1-hour program! The advances in technology have greatly reduced the captioning process time, and with the option of using MovieCaptioner for captions or subtitles, it makes it an indispensible tool. I also love the feature of being able to export captions for use on YouTube!
You may include our website on your list of "people who use MovieCaptioner." And thank you so much for this product at an affordable price!

Hi Patrick,
We found out about MovieCaptioner via YouTube at a point in time when we wanted to increase the accessibility of our videos. We knew we wanted to add captions, and wanted the process to be as simple and streamlined as possible. We've been able to repurpose our voiceover text documents and import them straight into MovieCaptioner to quickly get our captions set up, and saved for YouTube use. Even though YouTube offers caption translation, in the future we'll likely use MovieCaptioner to add translations of our own in additional languages.

Dear Patrick
I want to thank you for your efforts. I work as a lecturer in Bologna, Italy, where most of the students have difficulties in understanding English. Making my own subtitles is actually the only way in which I can show them movies about my subject, which is African History. And in this field, documentaries are an impressive teaching material, as they have the power to 'bring' the students into the continent in a way I could never do with my bare voice.
I have looked for a couple of days for good programs for mac to make my own subtitles, and this is by far the best - and the easiest to use - I found , and I have tried many!
So please keep up with the good work.
All the best,
Elena V.

Dear Patrick,
I live in Greece and I make short videos on life in Athens. As there are already many videos on YouTube and elsewhere aimed at promoting Greece as a tourist destination, I want to do something slightly different and show a side of the city that might not be seen in an average two to three day stay here. This means I often talk to Greeks who sometimes don't speak English and that is why I think MovieCaptioner will become one of the most useful tools I have. It seems fairly straightforward and easy to use which is great for me as I am quite impatient when learning new skills!
I would love for a link to be included on your web site page:

Thank you,

Hi Patrick,
thanks for beeing really supportive on your excellent software. It is great to know that if there are any questions, you are right there to help.
Thanks to MovieCaptioner I have subtitled all the last productions with German, English and French Captions. It is great. I export them as ".SUB" for YouTube use and ".SCC" for Iphone and Ipod use.
The last projects we did here in Frankfurt, Germany, were dealing with sign language and deaf people. It is great to be able to produce barrier free with just simply adding captions. It is really not a big deal, thanks to MovieCaptioner. There is no reason not to create captions for a video - that goes out to everyone!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for making such a great piece of software. MovieCaptioner does one thing really well (captions) and has saved me "buttloads" of time in creating captions and translations for our videos.

Hi Patrick,
Although MovieCaptioner was extremely useful in my pre-retirement university position (Educational Technology Consultant & Multimedia Director), 18 months ago after I retired I launched a computer coaching business for retirees in Ontario's Georgian Triangle region. Since some of my clients face hearing challenges, MovieCaptioner is always there to facilitate usability for those folks through captioning. Thank you again for a fantastic solution that my clients love and which saves me considerable effort and time!
Cheers,
Mike
